This isn’t your father’s wargame

I’ve been limiting my purchases this year, but this game was good enough to leave me searching for an ATM so I could buy a copy. I am very pleased with the game and with my purchase.

Wargames? I’ll pass. This game? Sign me up!

To me, Engage is the sort of game that I wouldn’t even give a second glance. However now that I’ve played it, I’m eager to play it more. It has plenty of depth packed into 60-90 minutes of playtime.

An “Engaging” Evening with Table Tactics

by Andrew Wilkins – BGG Copper Reviewer

Engage has potential to revolutionize war games with their addition of the “skill” bank and command center. It was a blast, and gut wrenching at times, trying to figure out what I needed to do to win each battle. The best part was that it was left up to me (and my opponent) to decide the outcome of battle.

Do I recommend everyone buys this game? Absolutely! The new gimmick skill is literally that good. It’s new and it’s fantastic. Couple that with great components, and I’d be surprised if medium weight+ gamers didn’t enjoy this one.

Diceless Battles: A Review of Engage

by Elliott Miller – The Gaming Gang

It is a good game and it really does require some strategic play. The end game does get intense as players struggle to keep control of their bunkers long enough to win.

Quick review

by Andy Strauss – Engage Fan

Game play is great as there are several hard decisions to make. The game flows very smoothly as turns are fast. The overall experience was very good and I plan on playing it a lot more.
